This was first issue for me for over 10 years of Nikon Repair experience with Nikonusa Melville HQ repair counter. I actually signed the repair order already with my credit card information and actually did the online approval process three times and still my camera was not repaired until I actually called to inquire. There was a SNAFU with the online repair approval process for my repair. It's just too good a camera to give up right now. For several reasons there hasn't been much time or interest in photography but I'll hold onto it in the hopes that things will improve down the road. Was thinking about the best way to list my D750 kit for sale and couldn't bring myself to do it. I snapped it straight up when they told me the age and shutter count :D The guy who traded in my camera had only bought it back in August 2017 and didn't use it enough so traded it back in last month. Incase anyone is interested, I have a friend who's went on to just shy of 800k actuations before it gave in, he photographs events for a living.ġ) When did you buy yours? 2 weeks ago (used)Ģ) What's your shutter count now? Just over 3000Ĥ) How does your d750 work now? Like new! I sent the d600 in for the oil shutter replacement once and I remembering it being less then 2 weeks (including shipping both ways). Never has to send it in even with the flair recall.
I was also using the Df also for a year as a walk around. Every Nikon subsidiary/region works differently so what might be faster or slower in the UK is quite different for the USA and other regions.Īround 29,170+, the most I ever put on my own camera for 4 years. This has been the norm for me for 10+ years now for repairs done at NikonUSA HQ in Melville N.Y. My experience always have been that Nikon repair takes 4-5 weeks if there is parts and longer if they have to wait for parts from Japan. Hopefully it will last for another 3-4 years. Both in stellar physical condition, altogether for 960 pounds.ġ0.000 vs my 420.000, it's like a newborn baby to me. Happy to announce that I just purchased used Nikon 750 with 10.000 shutter count and a bonus 50mm 1.8G. When I had my shutter replaced it took them exactly one week of work and within 3-4 days it was delivered back to the store. Surprised to hear it's so long with them. I am keeping the D750 and D7200 and planning to go Nikon Z series when the money comes. Sent in for second shutter recall phase which was under warranty initially 2 years ago so this one would cost me $650 bucks.Ĥ) Nope.since it is with Nikon since October 26, 2018. With family issues, etc my priorities have changed and I'm planning to sell the D750 and 24-120.ģ) Currently under repair. These days I basically take it out for a dozen shots or so a few times a month, mainly to exercise it to keep it working well. Sent in about 8 months later for another shutter replacement due to shutter lockup (at my cost).Ĥ) How does your d750 work now? Looks and works like new since (although it's 4 years old) it's barely used. Was updated and sent back working like new. Sent in for the Flare recall after the 1st shutter recall was issued. Although it's pretty old I think this is one of the best cameras ever released by Nikon (I also loved d700 back in the day). Buying tonight a new one (wanted to purchase d810 as it is pretty cheap now but the raw at low light is worse that d750). I started getting distortions on the right side of the photos, must be a sensor.
Is that a lot? What's yours? One shutter replacement (which does not reset the count).
